Jamie attends a mainstream school, where a full-time auxiliary teacher looks after him. As well as music, he is good at German, Science, Maths and French. The youngest in his year, he also loves art and graphics. Last year, Jamie was awarded the Roland Reeves Spirit to Succeed Cup.
A worthwhile cause
There are other children like Jamie who, despite their disabilities, have a will to succeed. Many suffer discrimination because of their blindness, which often means that they do not get the opportunity to do the things they could do given the chance.
