A Child like Callum

An AMBER Music Award has enabled ten-year-old Callum, who has severe sight problems, to take ukelele lessons. He is racing ahead learning all sorts of tunes and melodies, becoming more and more confident and louder at singing, and now looks up rather than looking down at the floor.

Callum

Callum’s music teacher says:
“Callum is a pleasure to teach and our lessons together are never dull! I feel that Callum’s self-esteem is helped by his musical activities. A born performer, Callum has a legitimate outlet for his energies through music. He has very supportive parents. His dad sits in on the lessons, which is something I enjoy and find to be a great help.”

Callum

  Recently, Callum played at
  a local Living History WW11
  event, where he played
  extremely well. He really
  seems to enjoy performing.

Callum’s mother says:
“Once again thank you for
supporting Callum and
ourselves by supplying
him with his lessons.
We appreciate it a great
deal as he gets real
enjoyment from them.”
